The Blue Bean is an atypical gallery. It is unique. Expect
to be greeted warmly and in the same type atmosphere as that of
my childhood home. The artists exhibiting here gallery are
special people and of the same heart and
spirit.
Naming the Blue Bean
My parents home was always open to anyone, anytime. We
had an open door and lots of company. Love, kindness, and
generosity lived within.
When children entered the house, my mom would come down to their
level to greet them, arms outstretched and say, "Oh come here and
let me squeeze a Blue Bean out of you!"
Sometimes it would take three good hugs to get a blue bean. Mom
would then open her hand and hold out a blue bean. Some of those
children, now grown, still have their blue bean. It was my job to
keep her supplied with Blue beans. Blue beans are rare and hard
to get. If you were lucky, you might get two in a lifetime.
Both of my parents are gone now, but the soul of the blue bean
survives.
The gallery is dedicated to their memory and the legacy they left
us.
